World Teachers’ Day

Darul Huda Islamic School celebrated World Teachers’ Day on 7th October, 2019.The theme for this year is ‘“Young Teachers: The Future of the Profession”.

The assembly proceedings started with prayer by Miss Sahla of XI Com A. It was followed by UAE National Anthem sung by our male teachers. A group song which was dedicated to the students by our lady teachers added charm to the celebration.

Students presented sweets, flowers and gifts, as a token of love and respect to their teachers. A touching speech delivered by Miss Jannat of 11th Com A was a true reflection of the teaching profession and it highlighted the importance of the day. A ‘lucky draw’ was also conducted in the end to find the luckiest teacher of the day, which added more excitement to the celebration.

The activities ended after witnessing a cake cutting ceremony where every teacher who graced the occasion was invited on to the stage for the cake cutting.

Our Principal, Mr.Muneer Chalil, addressed the assembly and lauded the teachers for their exemplary contribution to the school’s phenomenal success and highlighted the significance of Teachers Day.
