The students of cycle 1 organized a program in connection with World Food day taking initiative to prepare healthy Fruit Salads on 14th October 2019 during the Activity period in their classrooms. The objective of this activity was to give an opportunity to young minds to explore their own ways and ideas in preparing, serving and to be aware of the importance of healthy eating habits.
The activity was a huge success. Children seemed to be very enthusiastic and engaged in the preparation of their item. They seemed very excited after the activity. Teachers assisted the students whenever they found it hard to chop out few fruits. This activity helped children love to work and learn in school which reminds them of their homes. Children were excited and loved to serve the salads to their teachers.
The participants explained the specialty of their salad and also the importance of including salad in our regular diet for maintaining good health and thus keeping diseases away.
