UAE Flag Day-2019

Darul Huda Islamic School joined the nation in its celebration to mark UAE Flag Day on November 3, 2019. The UAE Flag Day is commemorated on November 3rd every year since it was first launched in 2013 by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. The day marks the anniversary of the President, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, when he became the president of the UAE in 2004.

The occasion was a moment of pride and joy for the DHIS community as we raised the flag to show our appreciation for the UAE. We followed the protocol of hoisting the flag at 11am in our school wherein students and staff assembled and sang the UAE national anthem. At 11am we conducted a special assembly. The assembly area was covered with colours like red, green, white and black as the School celebrates the UAE Flag Day. The program started with prayer by Khaled Jahiruddin of XI Com B. The UAE flag hoisting was done by our School Principal Mr Muneer Chalil and was followed by the UAE national anthem lead by the girls of cycle 3.Ali Mohammed Rasool of XII Com B delivered an informative speech which highlighted the significance of the day.
