Darul Huda Islamic School Offers Hindi, Urdu, Malayalam and Bengali as 2nd Language subject in the curriculum. Languages open an avenue for communication and exploration. The study of languages promotes, encourages and instills a broader cultural understanding. Cross cultural understanding and the ability to work creatively are the key attributes required by the students in the future.
The Department is headed by the H.O.D Languages whose sole duty is to plan, organize, direct, conduct Continuous Professional Development Programs and control the Teaching of above mentioned Languages. Great Emphasis in the department is put on Language skills through student centered approaches that build on student’s knowledge and follows an Inquiry based learning process. Teachers in the Department are dedicated and therefore tasked to ensure that they offer effective and efficient services that will build key competencies and values that meets ADEC Curriculum Framework that will deliver best desired results.
Literature Club
The club aims to foster a love for language, enhance literary creativity and provide an avenue for self-expression beyond the school curriculum.
The main objective is to create a recreational and consolidating opportunity for students to
learn and practice different languages.
Thus, it tries to

- Provide encouraging atmosphere for Students to express personal views about whatever they choose.
- Enhance students’ learning opportunities.
- Engage them in cooperative tasks.

Distributes books, classics, comics, story books and encourages the students to tell stories, speeches, picture reading etc .
Conducts competitions like literature quiz, debates, speech, essay writing, greeting card making, story writing, pick n speak, storytelling, reciting poems etc
