The Science Department aims at improving the scientific temper and skill amongst the students to have hands-on experience on practical skills. We have well-defined and well equipped laboratories for each branch of Science, where students work under safety standards that allow high quality of practical work in science learning to happen very effectively and unhindered. Our laboratories enable the students to understand what they learn in class and to apply in real life.
The department comprises of dynamic and highly qualified faculty members, who deal with different branches of science and impart knowledge in a very innovative way.
We also organize Field-Trips for various levels, conduct activities like Innovation week, Learning by Doing, Science Quiz etc. Science Club activities and innovation club activities are also co-ordinated by us. Thus the students gain a lot of exposure from the experiences that are calendared the year round.
Science Club
Science Club offers students aged 12-17 the chance to take part in science-related activities. These activities may extend and enhance the science they experience in the classroom, or give them the chance to explore areas of science not covered by the curriculum. The club’s programme is tailored to the interests of the children that attend and gives the club members plenty of opportunities to do practical science.
They develop their scientific skills and experience how science works in the real world. Their interest in science is nurtured through an encouraging environment where students build self-esteem while learning. This is a club for all those budding scientists who are constantly questioning the world around them. Our club would like to arouse students’ interest in learning science, hence promoting their academic achievement in Science subjects. We also help students to learn more about science outside their classroom and teach them how to apply their knowledge of science in their daily life through our activities. It also aims at guiding the students to develop an independent, logical and creative mind. It involves two major principles learning by doing and learning by living. Science Club programs foster the development of skills, such as experimentation, critical thinking, and problem solving. we are also building more confident learners and educators.
