World Earth Day is an annual event celebrated globally on April 22nd every year. Various activities are held on this day to demonstrate support for environmental protection. This year, the theme is ‘Protect Our Species’. Darul Huda Islamic School observed and celebrated this day on Monday 22nd April by conducting various activities in the morning assembly.

Nisma Mustafa of grade 10th D enlightened the gathering with a speech on the current theme. A thought provoking skit was presented by the students of XI Sci B about global warming and its adverse effects. A quiz competition was also conducted in connection with this day. Children enthusiastically participated in creative activities displaying their artistic and linguistic skills while showcasing their awareness about conserving natural resources and the importance of protecting our species.

The assembly activities ended with Principal’s address where he stated the importance of the day.
