World Environment Day
Darul Huda Islamic School observed and celebrated World Environment Day on Tuesday 5th June 2018.The program started with prayer by Abdul Rahman of grade 8B. An inspiring speech on the topic ‘Beat plastic pollution’ was presented by Fathima Kamal of grade X1th Science A. She inspired students to work collectively for the protection of the earth and emphasized on the need to build a greener world. An informative tableau about ‘Environment:Past and Present’ was presented by the students of grade 8C and it silently shared importance of conserving environment. Various activities such as planting saplings and discussion on environmental issues were held. Principal Mr. Muneer chalil handed over saplings to School Echo club leaders Hamza Jamil and Aliya respectively. He highlighted the objectives of celebrating Environment Day and motivated the whole audience to contribute towards the protection of the environment. Each and every student enthusiastically participated in the programme.
